If you don’t want to drown, don’t go near water. None of us wants to drown, but many of us want to be near , on or in the water. We must, therefore, take a risk that is balanced between being aware of the various dangers and taking all the necessary precautions.
Everything you do is concerned with safety. Whether you are selecting the boat, the clothing or the stroke you will use, every aspect of your equipment and technique contributes towards a safer enjoyment of the sport.
