Optional :
i. Student can visit Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary in Lanchang along the return way to Kuala Lumpur (via Lanchang Interchange at East Coast Expressway). The journey from Kuala Tahan to Kuala Gandah is approximately 2 hours.
ii. 30-min Daily Video Show on Elephant Conservation Program at 1.00pm & 1.30pm except on Friday at 2.30pm. Additional 12.30pm show on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.
iii. Elephant Show, Elephant Ride and Elephant Bathing starts at 2.00pm daily except on Friday at 2.30pm and takes 1 ½ to 2 hours.. Elephant Ride and Bathing are limited to maximum of 120 persons per day on first come first serve basis.
iv. Visiting Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary is currently free of charge but the schools and colleges are encouraged to give donation as part of conservation effort and responsible tourism program.

BACKGROUND
Nenggiri River (Grade I-II), Gua Musang, Kelantan State
Sungai Nenggiri, a muddy brown river that emanates from Lojing Highlands, the border with Cameron Highlands in Pahang and Kinta Height in Perak. It flows through dense tropical jungle and majestic limestone hills to join rivers Galas, Pergau and Lebir bringing life to the Kelantan River before leading to the sea.
This adventure takes you through virgin jungles, rapids, occasionally viewing wildlife, visiting several caves of great archaelogical importance and view the scenic natural formation of limestone outcrops.
Rapids here are considered mild but the adventure doesn’t let up as you camp and dine by the river after a tiring day of paddling and taking short excursions to caves of archaeological importance.
Gua Cha is one of the most important archaeological sites in Peninsula Malaysia, due to the number of complete well preserved human burials, the abundance and variety of animal remains and cultural objects.

The Stong (mount) Stong State Park (GSSP), located in the state of Kelantan, is listed in the National Ecotourism Plan as 0ne of the top 10 special places for ecotourism.
GSSP is a forested area, totaling 21,950ha with several prominent mountain peaks. The area is of outstanding beauty and is home to one of the highest waterfalls in Malaysia, Jelawang Waterfall.
The rugged landscape of GSSP offers many exciting adventures for anyone who loves nature and the great outdoors. GSSP not only has important eco-tourism values but also serves as a significant conservation area with rich flora and fauna diversity.
Animals such as the Asian elephant, seladang, great Argus pheasant, Malayan tiger, serow and tapir are known roam the forest in Stong. With the assistance of a qualified and knowledgeable trekking guide, your exploration of GSSP will be made more meaningful as interesting aspects about the biodiversity of the area are pointed out.
GSSP is a destination that has a variety of attractions that would appeal to both nature-lovers and adventure seekers alike.

PLACES OF INTEREST
The Jelawang Waterfall, an impressive seven-tier waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Malaysia.
Bogo Rock Shelter, a cave-like formation, is a suitable resting point on the way to the summit of Gunung Stong, which can be reached within four hour of trekking.
Gunung Ayam, the highest peak in the area, standing at 1,504m is the ideal spot to watch both sunset and sunrise. A campsite is available for overnight stays.
Visit the breathtaking 225 million year-old limestone caves at Dabong that house several bat species and rare flora, including an endemic balsam.
